When we at Redfish Pickups think about The Stratocaster® Sound, you need to keep in mind that we came up in the Pre CBS era. Which I suppose should be called The LEO ERA! Overwound coils, mass production, hot magnets… Yatta yatta… No thanks. We just want a Strat to SOUND like a Strat®. Looking for a sound like a 1958 Les Paul? Find yourself a guitar with humbucking pickups and grab a pair of Redfish Steelhead pickups.

What makes us love Stratocasters®? Aside from obvious marketing strategies aimed at new players, the fact that EVERY guitarist, famous and not so famous, own them. But for us old cats, that glassy, chimey, brilliant, Thick yet silky… THAT tone is in our ears, heads, and hearts forever!

Amberjack Original Stratocaster® Set features authentic tone using AlNiCo II aged magnets. For 60Hz hum stuff, we have done the RWRP thing on the Middle pickup. Staggered poles pieces ensure even output from string to string. Wound to Authentic Specifications and not overwound, your Strat will SOUND like a Strat. Output is smooth and balanced.
